Can I really learn to shake my booty in 30 days? Yes, you can. That’s 30 days of dancing. Most dance students learn how to free their booty, extend their range of motion, and connect with their core, inner thigh, upper arm, and booty muscles in an average of 10 days!
How will I know if I am doing it right? The best way to know is to place a full length mirror next to your TV or monitor. You will know that you have learned how to shake your booty when you feel the sensation of your flesh shaking off the bone back there. It will be very easy to know when you are almost there and when you have completely got it!
How long are the Dance videos? Both dance videos, "How to Shake Your Booty in 30 Days!" and "How to Samba with Theresa Stevens" each contain 2 twenty minute instructional sections and 2 five minute dance choreographies.
Will they really make me sweat each time? Yes! Feel inspired by the hot Brazilian dance tracks and sweat your way to an engaged core, round and firm booty, and toned inner thighs and upper arms.
How much space do I need? What if I live in a super tiny apartment? You can do almost all of the moves while dancing in a 5 foot space. Setting up a full length mirror next to your TV or monitor makes the dance even more effective and fun!
Is it a full body work out and not just for my booty? Yes! You will use all of your major muscle groups, and engage your core, booty, inner thighs and upper arms.
Is it cardiovascular exercise? Yes—my dance videos will strengthen your heart, lungs and mind! Dance is one of the best ways to get in shape and lose weight because it engages your mind and your entire body. Plus, it is fun, sexy, and satisfying.
I'm a new mom and I'm really motivated to flatten my belly. Will it help flatten my belly? Yes! All of the dance movements also teach you how to engage your core and utilize your core muscles to move with greater strength, control, and flexibility. What is Samba? Samba dance comes from Brazil and is a rich expression of three cultures. Most people associate Samba with the Rio-style—which is much like the Vegas showgirl style—with feathers, sequins, and heels. Samba encompasses many dance styles and costume traditions. All of the Samba styles have one thing in common—Axe (pronounced ah-shay). Axe is the energy of love, life, spirit, and community that fuels Brazilian dance.
Is Theresa Brazilian? Theresa loves when people ask her that question! Theresa is actually American born of mixed descent. She has studied Brazilian dance the past 12 years with master teachers in Brazil, London, and Northern California. She is an effective teacher because she knows how to teach dancers who have not grown up with a “freed booty.” Theresa loves to express the spirit of Samba through her distinct personality, spirit, and booty-shaking finesse.
